autorDr. Rainer Schneider hat Psychologie und Sportwissenschaften an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg studiert. Er promovierte im Fach Persönlichkeitspsychologie mit dem Thema Paradoxien des Willens. Nach langjähriger Arbeit in der experimentellen Psychologie sowie in der Evaluation Alternativer Heilmethoden am Universitätsklinikum Freiburg gründete er 2007 sein Unternehmen RECON – Research and Consulting. Im Jahr 2010 erhielt er seine Lizenz als psychologischer Coach (IMPART/Universität Osnabrück). 2011 entwickelte er das internetbasierte Coaching-Programm „MOVE – Motivationsbasierte Verhaltensänderung“.

Schneider koordinierte und supervidierte zahlreiche internationale Forschungsprojekte und forscht im Bereich spezifischer und unspezifischer Therapieeffekte und Placeboeffekte. Er hält zu diesen Themen regelmäßig Vorlesungen und Vorträge. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Ratgeber und Publikationen, Gutachter wissenschaftlicher Zeitschriften und wissenschaftlicher Berater von Stiftungen und Organisationen (u.a. Bundesärztekammer).

Dr. Rainer Schneider hat zusammen mit Jürg Singer das Buch »Kluge Düfte – Aromatherapie richtig gemacht« geschrieben, welches im Juni 2016 in 2. Auflage im Ebozon Verlag als eBook erschienen ist.

Dr Rainer Schneider obtained his degree in psychology and sports science from the University of Freiburg, Germany. He was awarded a doctorate in personality psychology, and completed a doctoral thesis with the title “Paradoxien des Willens” (The Paradoxes of Will). Following my years of work in the fields of experimental psychology and the evaluation of alternative medical treatment methods at the University of Freiburg, he founded his company RECON – Research and Consulting – in 2007. In 2010, he became a licensed coaching psychologist (IMPART/Osnabrück), and a year later he developed the web-based coaching program “MOVE – Motivationsbasierte Verhaltensänderung” (Motivation-based Behavioral Change).

Dr Rainer Schneider conducts research in the field of specific and non-specific treatment effects and placebo effects, and has coordinated and supervised numerous international research projects. He also presents seminars and talks on these issues on a regular basis. He is the author of a number of guides and publications and a reviewer for scientific journals, and also acts as a scientific adviser for a number of foundations and organizations, including the German Medical Association (Bundesärztekammer).

Dr Rainer Schneider wrote together with Jürg Singer the book »Smart Scents – A guide to effective aromatherapy«, which was published in June 2016 (2nd edition) by Ebozon Publishing as an eBook.
